Production of the first electric car batteries was mastered.

Switched from ebonite boxes to the use of plastic boxes for the production of starter and traction storage batteries, the technology for the production of traction armored batteries was also developed.

The company’s shares start trading on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.

Elhim-Iskra JSC became a subsidiary of the “Stara Planina Hold” Joint-stock company.
The company’s shares are traded on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (stock code: ELHM). The company’s shares are included in the BG40 stock index.

The company is ISO certified. Today, the ISO 9001:2008 quality system is a guarantee for the high quality of the production.

Maintenance-free starter batteries of the Calcium type were put into production.

All types of armored traction batteries according to DIN standard have been adopted.

The battery factory was certified for the first time under OHSAS 18001 – system of health and safety working conditions.

A technology for the production of semi-traction storage batteries have been implemented.

Technology for the production of armored traction batteries according to the British standard was implemented.

“Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy 2007 – 2013” EU project have been finished successful. Two automatic casting machines (WIRTZ) for casting negative grids for traction armored batteries have been put into operation.

The implementation of the project “Implementation in serial production of a universal lead-acid battery with a built-in heater” under the Operational Program “Development of the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy 2007 – 2013” procedure “Support for implementation in the production of innovative products, processes and provision of innovative services”.

Seven new machines and equipment were delivered, installed and put into operation, ensuring serial production of the universal lead-acid battery developed by the company with a built-in heater, designed for operation at extremely low temperatures, for the technology the company has filed a patent application for invention with entry No. 110964/10.06.2011

A technology for the production of maintenance-free stationary and traction batteries filled with an AGM separator and electrolyte in the form of a gel was mastered.
